Born in and lived in Rochdale Lancashire all of her life, her career was in nursing and after having breast cancer fourteen years ago she took up painting as therapy, here are some words from Enid.

“Hi my name is Enid and I am sixty seven years old, after having breast cancer fourteen years ago I started painting as therapy it helped with my recovery along with conventional treatment.

My husband Alan is a cancer patient as am I having been diagnosed with cancer once again in December 2014.

We are both fortunate to be having the best treatments available, this is due to the knowledge and advancements in the study of cancer, research funded by Cancer research UK is invaluable to all of us and the benefits it brings will make a difference to hundreds of thousands of lives all over the world now and in the future.

Art is very important to me as I enjoy going to an art class with other people who like painting, they along with my family and friends are supporting me in my fight to beat this cancer.”
